Method of treatment of ion exchange resin saturated with gold

The invention relates to metallurgy of precious metals.

The distinctive feature of this method is treatment of ion exchange resin saturated with sodium cyanide solution of desired content which contains regular alkali for removing iron and copper from resin. Resin is treated by heating up to specified temperature.

Then resin is processed using sulfuric thiourea solution and subsequently treated using regular alkali. In the process of subsequent resin treatment, zinc and sulphur-containing impurities are desorbed. The alkali solution may be partially used for sodium cyanide preparation after zinc, silicium, and thiosulphate desorption. The regenerated resin is forwarded to sorption process.
