In terms of the occupied territory, scope of operation, level of profitability for the State, size of production facilities, width of output assortment, number of employees, amount of financing of social programs NMMC is one of the largest enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The chosen way of political and economic development of the country enabled to strengthen NMMC positions on the developed segments of Uzbekistan and foreign commodity markets, to raise competitiveness of output products and consequently a level of incomes of employees, to increase an amount of assignments to budgets of all levels which entails an increase of NMMC contribution to development of economy of Uzbekistan.
According to the opinion of experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency the level of uranium technologies developed by engineering thought of our specialists surpasses the average world level, and mini-reagent technology has no analogues all over the world. The said also relates to the level of environmental safety in Kyzylkum.

Science Integration into Production

It’s not a secret that implementation of up-to-date innovative technologies is associated with considerable financial investments, that is why NMMC management thoroughly analyzes, studies and investigates every new project with involving scientists of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, experts of leading design organizations and research institutes.
Scientific potential of NMMC is very high, and close cooperation with world leaders of mining and metallurgical industry accelerates innovative processes in market conditions, which, as a result, makes it possible to cut production costs.
Currently seven Doctors of Engineering Science and over 40 Candidates of Technical Science work in NMMC. Hundreds of young engineers, technicians and workers of key trades annually upgrade their professional skills in regular functioning and well equipped training centers of NMMC. Strong relations with the largest industry research and academic institutes have been established. In cooperation with them technologies are improved, technical re-equipment is carried out, governmental programs on modernization and localization of production and investment projects are successfully implemented.

For years of independence of Uzbekistan the role of scientific institutions of the country in NMMC activity has dramatically increased. The great scope of research and developmental works for NMMC are carried out by:

In consideration of a favorable growth trend of the gold price on the world market, the Government of the Republic has assigned a task to intensify the gold production.
NMMC resolved the task by means of use of high-efficiency resource saving technologies at level of world quality standards taken as a basis for next large investment projects. Implementation of the said technologies makes it possible to maintain the gold production in NMMC on long-term prospect with decrease of the raw material resources of Muruntau deposit.
Commissioning of new mining and metallurgical enterprises outfitted with up-to-date technique and equipment, an increased volume of export of finished products are a definite evidence of reforms implemented in Uzbekistan. New technologies and industrial intellect gained during 50 years of intensive work of NMMC are the key to success.

QUALITY STANDARD

Quality of many types of output products meets the world highest standards. NMMC was one of the first in Uzbekistan to successfully implement in 2006 an integrated system of quality, environment, industrial safety and health management. The most essential condition of NMMC development strategy is the stable improvement of production management methods.
