Agricultural Enterprise (AE) “Dustlik” is a large-scale firm of NMMC agricultural sector. Its main areas are crop growing and stock raising; vegetables, fruit and milk processing. Development of stock raising is especially accentuated - AE “Dustlik” has been the status of breeding enterprise specialized in red range cattle breeding. Semen of “Selered” and “Perfectered” and “Golshtinofriz” American productive Red-spotted breed have been brought for upgrading, artificial insemination.
About two tons of milk are processed daily in milk processing department and the following dairy products are produced in various packages: milk, sour cream, sour milk, yoghurt, cottage cheese, Dutch cheese, dairy butter. In canning department of AE “Dustlik” juices (apple, grape, apple and grape, tomato, carrot, pumpkin), tomato paste, fruit puree, pickled cucumbers and tomatoes are produced.
The hydroponics department has been opened in the agricultural enterprise. The hydroponics method, provided the process is observed, requiring certain temperature and air humidity, makes it possible to gather 4-5 kilograms of nutritious green fodder per 1 kilogram of grain. Such fodder has very high content of proteins required for cattle feeding in autumn-winter period. Agricultural Enterprise “Potok-Mahsulot” is a subsidiary production unit of Zarafshan “Potok” mining company and represents a compact agricultural complex.
"Potok-Mahsulot" includes 9 production subdivisions. These are the fields for growing forage crops, an orchard, greenhouse, milk - and pig farms; milk, sausage departments, bakery and pastry shop; repair-and-mechanical and energy services, and also retail store chain. Greenhouse facilities occupy an area of 1.3 hectares. Tomatoes and cucumbers, bell pepper and lemons are grown here. Annual harvest and sale of fruits and vegetables is about 120 tons.
One of the main activities is laborious work in pedigree stock-breeding and selection in the field of cattle raising. Producing capacity of the milk processing department is 3 tons a shift. More than 10 kinds of products: milk, cheese, cottage cheese, sour milk, sour cream, etc. are produced on German and Russian equipment using modern package.
The sausage department was put into operation in 2002. The basic production equipment is of Bulgarian and Polish manufacture. Actual producing capacity of the department is 1200 kg of food products a shift. The range of output products consists of 58 items: 32 kinds of sausages, 20 kinds of meat gourmet items and smoked products. Process of industrial bakery ensures monthly production of up to 100 tons of bakery and pastry.
