On October 28–29, 2025, the 7th Uzbekistan International Mining and Metallurgical Forum (UIMF 2025) was held in Tashkent as part of the 19th International Exhibition “Mining, Metallurgy and Metalworking – MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2025.” The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This year’s forum was held under the theme “A New Agenda for the Mining Industry – Sustainable Development through Strategic Initiatives,” emphasizing the importance of sustainability and strengthening both regional and international cooperation. The event brought together over 50 speakers and more than 450 delegates from 17 countries.

Representatives of NMMC presented a range of large-scale sustainability initiatives covering all areas of the company’s operations – from the implementation of advanced technologies and digital transformation to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), enhancement of operational efficiency, and initiatives aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for employees.

During the plenary session, Evgeny Antonov, First Deputy General Director for Transformation, underscored NMMC’s significant progress in strengthening international partnerships, integrating advanced global practices, and consistently advancing the company’s long-term sustainable growth strategy.

NMMC representatives also took part in several panel discussions. Bakhriddin Bozorov, Head of the Information and Communication Technologies Department, presented the company’s progress and future plans for digital transformation, focusing on the application of advanced digital technologies and AI integration in mining and processing operations. Denis Nastenko, Head of the Operational Efficiency Department, delivered a presentation focused on enhancing efficiency across all stages of the production value chain through the adoption of modern methodologies and advanced technologies aimed at boosting productivity, minimizing losses, and optimizing operational costs.

A special session of the forum was dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women in the mining sector. Nigora Amonova, Chief Specialist for Gender Equality and Inclusion, delivered a compelling presentation highlighting that in today’s globalized environment, one of the foremost priorities for the mining and metallurgical industry is to foster equal opportunities and create an enabling environment for professional growth. She outlined NMMC’s comprehensive approach to promoting women’s participation across all levels of production and management. These initiatives are fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality), the company’s ESG commitments, and NMMC’s ongoing collaboration with the International Women in Mining (IWIM).

Association NMMC’s participation in UIMF 2025 reaffirmed the company’s strong commitment to open collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth.
