In recent years, NMMC has implemented a series of strategic investment projects that not only expand ore mining but also increase production volumes and create new employment opportunities in the region.

Highlight: The “Lower Horizons Development of the Zarmitan Deposit” Project. In April 2025, the “Skipovoy” shaft was commissioned, with a diameter of 6.5 m and a depth of 1,000 m. This shaft now enables the daily hoisting of 1,500 tonnes of ore to the surface and has created 90 new jobs.

The “Glavny” shaft has also reached a depth of 1,000 m. It serves multiple critical functions: ore hoisting, personnel and equipment transport, groundwater pumping, and ventilation of underground workings.

International collaboration at work: NMMC specialists partnered with the Czech company Mine Construction Alliance s.r.o. to connect the “Skipovoy” and “Glavny” shafts at the 0.00 m level. This enhances underground air circulation and provides a secondary access route for personnel.

Construction of the “Glavny” shaft is scheduled for completion by the end of this year — another milestone in NMMC’s modernization journey and technological leadership in the mining sector.
