The Turbay deposit, part of the Northern Mining Administration of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, is one of the enterprise’s most promising sites.

Launched in 2022 under an investment project, the mine has already produced around 18 million cubic meters of rock. In the first half of 2025 alone, about 1.2 million tonnes of gold-bearing ore were transported by rail to Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 5 for processing.

Today, mining is underway in geologically complex conditions, with varying precious metal content requiring tailored drilling approaches. As a result of phased development, the open pit now measures 750 meters in length, over 1,300 meters in width, and around 100 meters in depth.

To boost output, Turbay deploys advanced equipment including Sandvik and Epiroc drilling rigs, Hitachi and Liebherr hydraulic excavators, Komatsu and Caterpillar haul trucks, and other modern mining machinery.

The development of the Turbay deposit plays an important role in increasing NMMC’s precious metals production capacity.
