On November 15, a conference was held at the Office of JSC NMMC facilitated by Boston Consulting Group. The conference was headlined “Navoi Gold: readiness for new challenges and ways to improve enterprise management“.

The conference was run as part of the organizational development workstream of Navoi Gold Transformation Program, involving the general director of the Company K.Sanakulov and key leaders. The relevance of the conference’s theme is dictated by external and internal challenges currently facing the Company, namely increasing demands that stakeholders pose towards the company – covering for example timely preparation of audited international reports, evaluation of reserves in accordance with JORC requirements. Challenges and topics like more difficult and complex geological conditions, ESG agenda requirements, development of new competencies, division of powers and responsibilities within the improved management structure were also discussed.

At the conference, BCG experts shared global practices of organizational transformations in other mining companies, illustrating the choices the companies face in improving their management system and creating a target operating model of the enterprise – to ensure its effective operation and achieve high financial results.
