The spotlight is firmly on the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2025 as it gathered global leaders, investors and changemakers from across the world.

Among the prominent discussions at the forum, Eugene Antonov, First Deputy CEO and Head of Transformation at NMMC, joined the distinguished panel session on ‘Uzbekistan Mining: New Opportunities for Investors’ offering strategic insights into the sector’s development.

Antonov highlighted how NMMC’s resilience, full-cycle operations and cost-efficiency have made it one of the most competitive and sustainable gold producers in the world. The company’s 2024 financial performance reinforces this, with $7.4 billion in revenue and a remarkable EBITDA margin of over 60%.

Beyond numbers, sustainability is front and center. From reducing freshwater usage and cutting emissions to increasing renewable energy adoption and investing over $200 million in community programs, NMMC is taking concrete steps toward responsible mining. The company is also the first in Uzbekistan’s mining sector to secure an ESG rating aligning its operations with global ESG standards.

As part of the broader engagement, Jakhongir Khasanov, CFO of NMMC played an active role in high-level meetings. Under his leadership, the finance team conducted a series of productive discussions and strategic negotiations exploring potential avenues for cooperation with international partners.
