NMMC: new smelting furnace was launched

Today, 15 000 items of localized and imported products are produced at Navoi Machine-Building Plant. And the whole process is of great importance to the work performed in the foundry of the plant. In recent years, a large-scale practical work has been carried out in the Foundry unit to assess the volume of production of casting products for ball mills and mining equipment used in the units of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company.

In particular, on February 21, a new modern furnace for 25 tons was launched in this unit. It is worth noting that the necessary molding equipment for this furnace was manufactured directly at the plant. The new furnace, for the construction of which $3 million was allocated, will increase the production capacity of the Foundry by 30 percent or bring it up to 40 000 tons per year. It is important that 53 jobs were created with the launch of the furnace.

The quality of metal melting will improve due to the fact that the launched furnace is equipped with equipment based on modern technologies. Due to the single casting of spare parts for large-scale mills and mining equipment, work productivity will increase. In the new furnace, the technological process is automated, thanks to which it is possible to fully control the melting of metal.
