Negotiations were held with representatives of the Asian Development Bank

On August 10, there was held a meeting of representatives of JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tashkent, organized by the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  

This meeting was devoted to the current tasks in ESG and the sustainable development agenda, as well as ways to solve these tasks. At the meeting, ADB representatives provided examples of possible cooperation on a grant basis aimed at improving the current state of ESG issues. The parties agreed to continue more substantive interaction and identify specific tasks for the potential involvement of ADB specialists in solving the tasks of NMMC in ESG.

The Asian Development Bank, founded in 1966, is one of Uzbekistan's largest partners in supporting reforms and the transition to an inclusive and market economy.
