Global investment process best practices discussed at Navoi Gold with support from BCG

On December 19, 2023, in Navoi city, a workshop was held with the participation of international experts from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and key functional leaders of Navoi Gold involved in the investment management process. The agenda included a discussion on the global best practices and tools for investment management, the importance of effective investment management, and the relevance of improving related processes at the Company.

The event served as a platform for exchanging opinions and formulating next steps – using both the successful experience of NMMC and good practices from global industry leaders.

During the workshop, the progress that Navoi Gold had already made in transforming the investment process was noted, as well as the relevance of implementing improvements in multi-stage project design and approval, as well as setting up a fully functional investment committee.

In his opening greeting, the First Deputy General Director for Transformation, E. Antonov noted:

 'Today, Navoi Gold, like other companies in the mining industry, faces external factors that impose higher demands on the investment process, in particular - the need for tighter financial management and increased requirements of banks for investment justification, a global decrease in the pace of discovering new deposits, and processing technologies becoming more integrated and complicated. At the same time, the Company, as an industry leader, recognizes the importance of improving the investment process as one of the key areas of transformation, as it ensures the efficiency of capital investments and supports long-term development priorities.'"
