10 million cubic meters of rock mass mined at the Pistali mine
In 2023, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company completed large-scale work to implement a large investment project aimed at the construction of Hydrometallurgical Plant №6 for processing 4 million tons of gold ore per year on the basis of the Pistali deposit in Nurata district of Navoi region.
In particular, on January 6, the first blasting work was carried out at the deposit to uncover gold ore bodies. On the eve of the thirty-second anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mill blocks were put into operation at Hydrometallurgical Plant №6, which, in turn, made it possible to achieve the planned production indicators.
December 20 was a historic day in the annals of Mining Administration “Kyzylkum” – at the Pistali mine, the volume of mined rock mass amounted to 10 million cubic meters, of which 2.3 million tons were gold ore.
Today, 1.3 thousand workers, engineers and technicians work at the Pistali mine. In mining operations at the mine, modern mining equipment is widely used, such as excavators, dump trucks, drilling rigs, and loaders.
It is worth noting that this promising project serves both to improve the region’s infrastructure and to develop the economy of Uzbekistan.
