Impact of climate change on occupational safety and health

At the initiative of the International Labor Organization, since 2003 April 28th has been widely celebrated as the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This year, events at the Company dedicated to this date are held under the motto “Impact of climate change on occupational safety and health”.

Ensuring labor protection and safety is important at JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company.

On the eve of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, there was organized an exhibition dedicated to labor protection and safety on the territory of Mining Administration “Kyzylkum”. This exhibition presents modern personal protective equipment, various overalls, fire protection and fire extinguishing equipment.

Specialists in labor protection and safety of the Company’s units, responsible fire safety officers, students of the Navoi State Mining and Technology University participated at the event.

Also at the event, representatives of Mining Administration “Kyzylkum” on the CPR simulator demonstrated how to provide first aid to the victim. At the same time, responsible fire safety officers told about fire safety at production.

The main purpose of this is to increase the knowledge of employees on labor protection and safety, to prevent possible accidents at work.
