Modernization and development of railway infrastructure

Transport is one of the main means of determining the economic power of a country. Therefore, recently in our country, special attention has been paid to the construction of road transport and engineering communications. This can be seen in the significant changes in the railway industry.

This year, NMMC has implemented a number of projects for the construction of new railways, the reconstruction of existing lines, and the modernization of freight and passenger transport. In 2021, within the framework of several investment projects, 6 modern 2-section diesel locomotives 2TE25 KM, 150 new dump carriages of various models and a modern crane were purchased.

Delivery of two mainline diesel locomotives is expected in the near future. If 11 tank carriages for the transportation of nitric acid were delivered to the divisions of NMMC, then in the near future 30 tank carriages for the transportation of sulfuric acid will be delivered.

The acquisition of modern diesel locomotives and carriages, the development of railway infrastructure, the construction and commissioning of new railways significantly expand the capabilities of the enterprise. Currently, 137.5 thousand tons of ore per day are transported by railway in NMMC’s system.
