Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company is progressing with the implementation of an investment project at Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7 (HMP-7) aimed at increasing processing throughput by 10 million tonnes per annum.

In 2025, the Company and plant teams successfully delivered a large-scale equipment installation and commissioning program, ensuring timely integration of new capacity into the production process. The current process flowsheet for reprocessing of secondary (technogenic) materials comprises 12 grinding mills, 10 thickeners, and 102 adsorption tanks within the sorption circuit. In 2025, HMP-7 processed 21.8 million tonnes of technogenic feed.

As part of the expansion project, construction and installation works have been completed at the ore preparation and screening circuits, while activities continue across the thickening and adsorption sections. The project scope also includes the expansion of the maintenance and mechanical workshop, the enlargement of reagent storage facilities, and the construction of a new amenities building, along with supporting engineering infrastructure.

“Efficient water management remains a key operational priority. The current level of process water recirculation stands at 60%, contributing to reduced freshwater intake. In parallel, the plant has upgraded its automated process control systems, including the integration of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance operational efficiency and process stability,” noted Arman Kamalov, Chief Technologist of Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7.

The increase in processing capacity, combined with the deployment of modern process technologies, is expected to enhance throughput, improve metallurgical recovery rates, and ensure compliance with stringent environmental standards.
